managing to be pop with no concession to pap. Then there's the discofied, squelchy Doppelganger Remix of 'Clone', sadly vocal-free but still guaranteed
to rock it.

KLUB KNOWLEDGE, OCTOBER 2004 - 4 STARS
The lovely Rochelle Vincente (vocals) + Adamo (sonics). Head to the Clone Doppelganger Remix for full on, throbbing, party monster with acid tinges. Wilder floors can play the electro original of Clone with more of Rochelle's alluring vocal. A grower perhaps but a real gem.

UPDATE, DMC DANCE MUSIC REVIEW, AUGUST 18 2004 -
4 DANCING MEN/FLOOR FILLER

After their grungy cover of Blondie's 'Heart Of Glass' got them noticed a few months back, Product.01 has kept busy with a handful of remixes for the likes of Dave Clarke, International Pony and Si Begg. With more care put into songwriting this second EP reveals undeniable capabilities. Both 'Clone'and 'Diamond' offer a craze-up mixture of vintage electro beats & tricks (think a roughed-up Mantronix) with the impressive goth-like vocals of Aussie singer Vincente.
The kind of band 4AD should sign instantly.

UPDATE, DMC DANCE MUSIC REVIEW, OCTOBER 13 2004 -
4 DANCING MEN/FLOOR FILLER

Doppelganger remix gets fierce with plenty of 303 lines and gritty, stomping synthesizer action.

DJ, AUGUST 20 2004 - 3.5 STARS

Product.01 are Rochelle Vincente on vocals and studio boffin Adamo and they make a more compelling noise than most new school electro duos. Indeed, while 'Clone' features Vincente's coquettish, occasionally melancholic vocals, her contribution is set to a tight electro-breaks arrangement that seethes dark acid menace - and has more in common with an operation like Clone rather than electroclash trash. The offbeat bass-led 'Diamond' maintains their underground credentials, and even the 4/4 based remix of 'Clone' by Doppelganger grinds with the kind of raw sex appeal lacking in electro.

QX MAGAZINE - MARK MOORE + PRINCESS JULIA
Our fave at the moment is Product 01's "Cloned EP" with a marvellous Doppelganger remix in the electro-disco mode that is so á la mod at the moment.

JUICE, JUNE 2004 - 4 STARS
Rising locals stars Product.01 follow up their massive 'Heart Ov Glass' with a
fine slice of pristine electropop, featuring their trademark plaintive vocals over
a synth-heavy, pulsing track. Likely to find favour with breaks, electro and techno heads alike, the single also proves a tasty four-four remix that should help cement their reputation as one of Brighton's most exciting acts.
Electro with soul as well as attitude.

LATEST, OCTOBER 2004
Product.01 have just released their 'Cloned' EP. An electro-tech three-tracker,
it's the brainchild of Austrian-Australian Rochelle Vincente and Italian-English producer Adamo. The title cut, 'Clone', is apparently a 'slamming critique on the cult of individuality and the commercialisation of the personality' - enough to get any singer-songwriter with a guitar and political agenda fighting for his soapbox. Meanwhile, the second track 'flips schizophrenically from spacey chords to razor-sharp beats and freaked-out noise' well enough to do us reviewers out of a job.
With remixes for Princess Superstar, Adam Freeland and Dave Clarke under their belts, these two won't stay underground for long.

MEDIENKONVERTER.DE - 5 /6

INTHEMIX.COM - RECOMMENDED
Electro / breaks crossover duo /Product.01's (aka Italian / English producer Adamo and Austrian / Australian vocalist Rochelle Vincente) debut 12" release ‘The Zero-One EP' which included their remake of Blondie's ‘Heart Of Glass' received massive support from the likes of Tiga and Erol Alkan, their growing reputation being bolstered by remixes for Free*land, Si Begg and Chicks On Speed. This follow-up 12" release, ‘The Cloned EP' arrives less than a year after ‘The Zero-One EP' and gathers together three new original tracks from /Product.01 that surely won't disappoint electro-breaks heads who enjoyed the duo's debut offering.

On the A-side of this 12", ‘Clone' opens with icy bleeping synths that swiftly lock down into a tight electro groove, with crisp breakbeats and a buzzing bassline providing a propulsive bed for Vincente's slightly goth-tinged vocal (in the style of early-period Kosheen), which provides an edged critique on the subject of dilution of individuality. In many ways, it resembles the more stripped-down moments Hybrid explored on their recent ‘Morning Sci-Fi' album, crossed with
a Kosheen / Amiel-style vocal hook that's sure to appeal to fans of electro-infused vocal breaks.

On the flip, ‘Diamond' drops the tempo slightly and tosses in some ominous buzzing synths around a tight tech-breaks groove and flanging bassline, while Vincente's darkly ethereal vocal flits through – in many ways this track gets into some of the deeper, darker romantic textures compared to the A-side. Finally, the Doppelganger remix of ‘Clone' strips out pretty much all of the original vocal and lays down a tight 4/4 tech-house beat that slowly builds up the robotic synth bass and Euro-tinged electro synths over its full duration -–resulting in a intriguing hybrid between streamlined tech-house and electroclash stylings that carries just the right amount of drama (and even a touch of 303 acid squelch).

Another excellent 12" release from /Product.01 that shows them honing their potent blend of electro-infused vocal breaks further – fans of vocal breaks will love the two tracks featuring Vincente included here, while the less vocal-inclined should head for the slammin' Doppelganger mix.

ATOME.COM
After their first acclaimed EP, the English duo shows one more time its love for synthetic & powerful electro techno breakbeat. The /Product.01's touch is still here with Rochelle Vincente's voice and typically UK massive sounds. To be mentioned: B-side brings an acid techno remix furthermore dedicated to the dancefloor!

RA, RESIDENTADVISOR.NET - 8 /10
The second release from Product.01 is set to further enhance their reputation after a pretty solid set of tunes here on The Cloned EP.

First up on the a-side is Cloned. A nice track here, with some cheeky vocal lines as well as some crisp beats and electro cutting edge synths. Nice and upbeat throughout, with a really fresh futuristic electro feel to it.
Following this is Diamond, a track that again showcases the electro nature of /Product.01, no nonsense baselines and quirky vocal delights.

On the flip is the very tasty Doppelganger Remix of Clone. This is one for the techy fans, as the track showcases a multitude of bleeps and squeals amongst
a crisp set of beats and some simply devastating baseline rumbles. Chunky stuff here that has already seen support from Lee Burridge in particular.

A pretty solid release here from /Product.01 with both mixes of Cloned standing out from the pack.

FUNKPROX.COM
/Product.01 is a new UK based electro/electronic act that is working its way into the spotlight. Already a third EP is in production at this moment. Zero One EP and Cloned EP are the first two releases. These were released on their own label. Both EP's display the typical /Product.01 sound which is energetic, dance orientated with an electro and new wave feeling at times.

The opening track of the Zero One EP is an instant smash hit. ‘Heart Ov Glass' is a cover version of the famous Blondie song. This new interpretation sounds very fresh and modern without losing the original feeling.

'Crushproof' is an more atmospheric track, but still suitable for the dancefloor. It reminds me a bit of the innovating dark electro by Android Lust. ‘Symbionic' is yet another melancholic beat driven piece in the electro-break style of /Product.01.

On the Cloned EP there are two versions of the track ‘Clone'. The Doppelganger Remix is somewhat more dancefloor friendly and has some vague EBM influences. ‘Diamond' is also a nice track but less strong than the other tracks on these EP's.

After hearing these two EP's I am convinced /Product.01 will become an act to keep an eye out for. They have a style of their own. This style will appeal to both electro people and more general mainstream dance music. I am on the lookout for the third release…

OSYMYSO, DJ /RADIO 1
Top notch. Absolutely brilliant. Love it.
I'm a big fan of the whole Si Begg, Cursor Miner, Tipper sound and now I can add Product.01 to my no nonsense balls out electro breaks computer set.
It's great to hear these breaks and bleeps used in a song based track.
The programming is superb and the vocals are great. It's kinda like the Electro Clash sound but futuristic instead of sounding like the 80's and tougher, meatier electro element. Always have some Si Begg and Product 01 and you can't go wrong.

JEAN-FRANCOIS FECTEAU, DJ/LE VESTIBULE RADIO
This second EP from Product.01 just reinforces the amazement that the 'Zero-One' EP had introduced us to. The music flows as android machinery propelled by an overwhelming multi-layered sound density that almost compresses the air that surrounds the synthetic sonic waves crushing in and out into powerful electronic bursts of melody, grooves, rhythms and robotized angelic vocals.
Charting at 2.

EDDY TEMPLE-MORRIS, XFM

Doppelganger mix is stylish and sexy bleepy production, will play.

JONNY MELTON, DJ/NAG NAG NAG/LONDON
Doppelganger Remix works well.

The Cloned e.p. is another winner from Product.01, feeling like a natural progression from the Zero One e.p. Clone in it's original form is the killer cut here, watch it fly.

When 'Heart ov Glass' first came out, I was wondering "who the hell is making this song??" That's one of the records I love the most. And 'Cloned ep', it's just ultra-great! Totally my taste! Can't decide which one to play from the three of them...

REV MILO SPEEDWAGON, KISS 100/95 FEET EAST/CARGO/HERBAL

THE CLONED EP

MIXMAG, OCTOBER 2004, TOP 5 ELECTRO TUNE

'Clone' has really fat, really glitchy beats with a hooky vocal that takes it into twisted electro-pop territory, whereas co-track 'Diamond' is a somewhat smoother ride, but still has bags of energy.
And bonus points for the vocals which sound like they were beamed in from outer space.

iDJ, AUGUST 2004 - 4 STARS
Second release for /Product.01 and one that can only reinforce their reputation. Two electro cuts, 'Clone' and 'Diamond', with Rochelle's icy vocal sitting perfectly over Adamo's razor-sharp electro beats,
