Product.01 drag 'Lights' onto the dancefloor, with crunchy, noisy beats and a wobbling 303-led bass sound.
CMU DAILY, JULY 25 2005
'City Lights' is an effortlessly stylish piece of beguiling downtempo, recalling Air circa 'Moon Safari' and the likes of Bent and Zero 7 at their most warm and affecting. Remix number one comes courtesy of Product.01, who twist the song into a piece of crunching, robotic techno-funk. Cut from similar cloth are the wonderful Vector Lovers who add their familiar icy synths, futuristic glitches and vocodered vocals to proceedings.
As with previous Husky Singles City Lights dons some classy remix treatments, from new producers on the block Product.01.
THEBEATSURRENDER.CO.UK - 5 Stars
...Product 01's tougher, twisted Crunch City Remix adding further weight to this release it should appeal across the board with a little something for everybody.
The City Lights EP sounds like Air (Moon Safari, not Virgin Suicides) mixed with Röyksopp (when they didn't suck - seriously, what happened there?). There's laidback ambient on the radio mix, more upfront dance floor action via
Product. 01's Crunch City mix, and an almost laconic, delicate piece of lounge jazz from Vector Lovers.
City Lights is presented in three versions, all having in common the same languid quality. For bleepy, electro style beats (and for those together enough to dance) it has to be the Crunch City remix. Nice heavy basslines, synths you could swing on, and enough analogue action to keep anyone happy.
The title tracks on Husky Rescue's City Lights EP ticks all the right boxes for late-night soul-searching lounge-jazz-lite á la Air. Product.01's Crunchy City Remix buries heavily-processed vocals under a barrage of glitchy, 4/4 Sinclair-ZX Spectrum-style beats.
These kids have the goods to keep you occupied, actually more than occupied, more like blissfully aware as P.01's ‘Crunch City Remix' courses through your energy craving veins. It's fast, snappy, bleepy, blippy and filled with a world of promise, and that's just in the first minute!
The remixes are rather good! Product.01's bleepy Crunch City Remix flattens the original under a robotic foot, while Vector Lovers take the chill-out approach, adding extra twinkly noises and vocodered vocals.
RA, RESIDENTADVISOR.NET - 8/10
Catskills Records unleashes the smooth sounds of Husky Rescue in this City Lights EP which also features remixes from Product.01 and Vector Lovers.
The Original Radio Mix is first up, and it is quite a nice smooth production full of warm vocals, delicate drums and a solid array of sounds and moody effects as well as a subtle baseline that gives the track a good flow.
The Product.01 Crunch City Remix is next up, and I must say I like the quirky twisted remix that they have come up with. The beats are very tight, and the gritty baselines and effects add to this unique remix. The vocals are effected and placed nicely from the main breakdown onwards and they work very well with this very tasty remix.
The Vector Lover's Radio Remix appears to be an expansion to the radio mix, albeit adding a little more depth with some smooth drums and warm sounds. It is a nice addition by the Vector Lovers but it is the Product.01 remix that shines here.
MEDIENKONVERTER.DE - 5 /6

Lexi, Liquid Love/Product.01 Digital Spank+Digital Fluid Mixes (Superstonic)
MIXMAG, SEPTEMBER 2005, TOP 10 ELECTRO TUNE
Ace steamy electronic ballad, given an Italio-tinged electro-house aspect by remixers Product.01.
iDJ, JULY 2005 - 4 STARS
Much better than the previous 'Dial Me' release. Lexi again call in Product.01 to remix. Their Digital Spank Mix is a pulsing electro-disco number with plenty of club appeal, while the Digital Fluid Mix is perhaps best described as minimal electro. On the flip is a sharp-edged electro version by band member Laz and the really rather naughty original. She's wet, don't you know.
UPDATE, DMC DANCE MUSIC REVIEW, JULY 20 2005
4 DANCING MEN, FLOOR FILLER
The second nocturnal emission from Lexi and Laz is an x-rated romp leaving no doubts about the nature of the liquid love. The dripping panties may offer a clue. First two remixes by Product.01 - the Digital Spank version spurts rollicking electro riffs and snippets of horny vocal with a twisted glitch in the groove-tail. The Digital Fluid mix is spikey and breathy sex-dub. Laz then comes in for sloppy seconds on a disembodied space orgy tip, before a reminder of the near-ambient original. Amazing to hear what you can get away with now compared to the shock-horror a bit of heavy breathing could inspire only ten years ago.
DMC ZZUB CHART, JUNE 15, 22 + 29 2005
Charting at 14, 8 + 15.
TTR, JULY 11 2005 - 9/10
Lexi's second release on Supersonic carries on where the dark sexual undertones of "Dial Me" left off. "Liquid Love" is more electronic sleaze with crisp production and a slow sensual basslines and synth grooves around some sexual vocals to die for! There are 4 tracks in all on this 12", all different takes on the original which resides on the Laz side along with the Deep Pinkie mix which is a more upbeat track with some subtle DnB tinged basslines and sharp electro hits coming at you from all angles, awesome production. Turn the record over to the "Product 01 side" and we have first the Digital Spank mix which brings the nice sensual feel to a more dancefloor oriented track with an infectious electro rhythm and nice touches on the vocals, expect to hear this one played out everywhere. The second is a Dub take of the piece called the Digital Fluid mix, nice and glitchy and building into a nice bassline accompanied by curious bleepy percussive patterns make this one for chillin out with. A brilliantly produced and well varied record that has to be listened to.
LAURENT GARNIER Big tune of the summer.

Caucasian Boy, Northern Lights/Product.01 remix (Skint/Sony)
UPDATE, DMC DANCE MUSIC REVIEW, JULY 6 2005
5 DANCING MEN/ESSENTIAL
One of Crispin J Glover's finest moments is about to do the rounds again. Under the name Caucasian Boy, Crispin first released "Northern Lights" on his own Matrix imprint, it was then picked up in the US by Strictly Rhythm, & went on to global domination. Now over a decade later it still sounds as fresh & inspiring as it did then, blowing most of it's competitors clean out of the water. Sweetlight, Laid & Product.01 supply the remixes. This is proper, you need it.
iDJ, JULY 2005 - 4 STARS
Crispin J Glover's classic was a unique combo of thumping dark acid and deep, deep house and it still sounds as fresh as it did 12 years back. A classic by any stretch. Better still, none of the remixes ruins the memory. Choose from Laid, who stay closest with their take. Sweetlight, who get very electro current and Product.01, who sound like Mylo on acid. They're all, thankfully, class.
DJ, JULY 8 2005 - 4 STARS
If you had your own record label you could get all your favourite producers to do remixes of your favourite tracks and then release them. It would be ace - and it's exactly what Damian Harris and Andy Mac have done here. Product.01 stomp out some peak-time electronic energy over the orig. deep 1993 tech houser.
MARTIN AUDIO (KNOW HOW RECORDS) In ‘Future Burners' Chart for 30/6

Buckfunk 3000, '2 Much Booty' (Bow Wow)
UPDATE, DMC DANCE MUSIC REVIEW, SEPTEMBER 15 2004
5 DANCING MEN/ESSENTIAL +ATM, 5/5 - RECOMMENDED
Bow Wow is a new label championing all things breakbeat.
Fitting then that Buck Funk 3000 should furnish it with its first release. The original, '2 Much Booty' is a sub - alicious monster with serrated bass and typical Begg edits and synth action.
The Product.01 is the one we'll be playing. Full on, dirty, dark and bouncey dance floor action ensues like a convention of bouncing electricians
in Miami waiting to catch a stealth plane to electro - land.
SOTO, BOTCHIT&SCARPER / TOP 10, DJ MAG, SEPTEMBER 30 2004
Dirty and dark sci-fi booty dancefloor noodlings from this new label.
Charting at 4.
RA, RESIDENTADVISOR.NET - 9/10
The Product.01 Remix of '2 Much Booty' is where it's at for mine! Twisted, crunchy beats grind over the top of the chopped up vocal from the original, while some of the filthiest bassline action in existence makes you want to shake what your momma gave ya, but bring your lunch back up at the same time. But that's not all, this remix comes complete with warped synths, complimenting the already manic insanity that the bassline creates. And then just when you think it's all over, then comes the Electro breakdown, turning what was a mental Nu Skool Breaks monster into a rollin' Electro tune with those tasty drawn out basslines we all love. Absolutely top notch stuff! This is one EP not to be messed with, not to be dropped without caution for the foundations of the building, and definitely not one to be missed!

MIXMAG, NOVEMBER 2004, TOP 10 ELECTRO TUNE
Downbeat with needy stalker electroclash vocals. Mixes from Si Begg and Product.01.
iDJ, OCTOBER 2004 - 3 STARS
This one's all about the mixes, the original album version being an okay electro affair with Lexi getting cross because someone isn't answering her calls. Look, darlin', just back off will you?
Anyway, Si Begg does his usual loopy beats thing, while Product.01 provide a driving, discofied electro jam.

Nice surprise to get this Lexi 12" on my doorstep the other week, banged it out over the weekend.
Loved the Product.01 EP "Heart Ov Glass" so I was really interested to see what they'd do here. Quite breaky for me (I like my 4/4!) but with the Bristol scene what it is this went down a storm... quite functional too, you can mix it into pretty much anything and that's a record I always like!:)

4clubbers.net – Single Reviews
Product 01 give things an edgier feel, with a static-laden, distorted scoop of blistering breaks.
Product 01's mix has gritty synth riffs` off the wall electronic bits and seriously demented effects on the vocals.
The Product 01 rmx is big room breaks with plenty of punk attitude. It is clear that these guys know what they are up to as we witness production skills to create clean fx stabs and hooks that just ooze with quality. Acidic fx create anthem as track builds and builds, then a throbbing heavy bass begins to rumble through the track. Atmospheric pads, drilling background samples, haunting vocals and creative programming combine to make this little number one to look out for. It keeps on building and building towards the main breakdown where a rolling break beat and the mother of all basses bring all the elements of this masterpiece together. If you are into breaks, you need to own this record to give a slamming end to your sets.

5 DANCING MEN
The man who

with Princess Superstar on a one-off project that doesn't take itself too seriously (quite a relief in this day and age). Product.01's clubby mix is entertaining and driving.
